Pandora's Box——潘朵拉魔盒

!! The Titan Prometheus stole fire and gave it to humans. That enraged Zeus, the king of the gods, who, as punishment to humanity, ordered the gods to create the first woman, all-gifted and "beautiful evil" Pandora. Zeus gave Pandora a large all-evil jar/box, fully expecting Pandora to open it. Zeus presented Pandora to Epimetheus, the brother of Prometheus, who married Pandora. Pandora couldn't help but lifted the lid, and all the evils flew out. Horrified, Pandora slammed the lid shut, trapping "hope" inside. Hope could be the last and most insidious evil—a form of blind expectation—that humans would suffer while also being tormented by the false hope of things getting better. With that false hope still trapped, humans may accept their grim reality and take action against it.

泰坦神普羅米修斯盜取火種，並把它交給人類，激怒眾神之王宙斯，他為了懲罰人類，命令眾神創造第一個女人，天賦異禀卻“美麗邪惡”的潘朵拉。宙斯給潘朵拉一個裝滿邪惡的大罐子／盒子，滿心期待潘朵拉會打開它。宙斯把潘朵拉送給普羅米修斯的兄弟厄庇墨透斯，後者娶了潘朵拉。潘朵拉忍不住掀開蓋子，所有的邪惡都飛出來。驚恐萬分的潘朵拉猛地關上蓋子，將“希望”困了在裡面。希望可能是最後也是最陰險的邪惡——一種盲目的期望——人類將遭受苦難，亦被事情會好轉的虛假希望所折磨。當這種虛假的希望仍然被困住時，人類可能會接受殘酷的現實，並採取行動對抗。
