Go Bananas——瘋狂

** to become extremely excited, angry, or irrational, or to act in a wild, uncontrolled way, either from joy or frustration

!! The expression started in the mid-20th Century. It was observed that monkeys love bananas and get hyperactive or excitable when they see or eat them. It might have come from observing monkeys "going wild" over bananas in zoos or cartoons. It could also be linked to a student slang where "bananas" meant wild, unrestrained behavior, e.g., it’s bananas in the classroom!
