!! This term originated in the mid-1800s as a nautical term "on even keel." It alludes to keeping a vessel's keel in a upright position, so the ship is balanced and stable in the water, not tilting to either side, for smooth sailing.
這個術語起源於十九世紀中期, 作為一個在“平浮”的航海術語。暗示將船隻的龍骨保持在直立位置,船在水中就能保持平衡和穩定,不會向任何一側傾斜,為了順利航行。
