Launch的常見用法

香港南華早報( South China Morning Post )在一篇報道香港全城核酸檢測的文章“What you need to know Hong Kong's universal Covid-19 tests”中提到“First announced a week ago, the Hong Kong government's grand plan to test almost all - if not the whole of - the population for Covid-19 will be launched soon, with officials unveiling details and a timeline on Friday.”，其中用了“launched”一詞，這裡文法是passive voice被動式，必須加上“ed”作為past participle來用，意思是推出。

通常一項嶄新的計劃或產品推出市場，我們用“launch”這動詞來表達。例如：“They are about to launch a campaign to unionize workers at all major discount shops in the area.”。

不說不知，那些大船或郵輪下水禮都是用“launch”，但作為名詞(Noun)來用。例如：“The launch of the shuttle was delayed for a week because of the hurricane.”

作為phrasal verb的用法，當開始很惱怒的批評時，便會用“launch into”來加強語氣：“He launched into a verbal attack on her stupid move.”（他對她的愚蠢作為作出非常憤怒的言語批判。）

另外，火箭和飛彈的發射平台區域，我們通常稱之為“Launch pad”。
