!! This English proverb originated in the 13th century when William Langland, in Piers Ploughman, held it up as a form of Christian charity to be practiced by all: "So will Cryst of his curteisye, and men crye hum mercy, bothe forgive and forgete."

這句英國諺語起源於十三世紀，當時William Langland在“Piers Ploughman”上把其作為基督教慈善機構的一種形式，也作為所有人的實踐：“基督會憐憫，人會求饒，原諒和忘記”。

>> Mehmet Ali Agca attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II in 1981, causing serious injuries to the Pope. In 1983, Paul II visited Agca in prison and publicly forgave Agca for assassinating him, a lesson of forgive and forget for all. Mehmet Ali Agca於1981年企圖行刺教皇John Paul二世，導致教皇重傷。John Paul二世在1983年曾經到監獄探望Agca，並公開原諒Agca刺殺他的行為，真是對所有人既往不咎的教導。
