Penny Wise and Pound Foolish——因小失大

** Careful with one's spending of small sums of money but careless and wasteful with larger amounts.（一個人謹慎花一筆小錢，卻草率浪費大額金錢。）

This proverb is originated in Englandin 1598:“Least he (as it is wont to be sayd) be penny wise and pound foolish, least he I say, gather ashes, and cast away flower.”

（這句諺語起源於英格蘭，於1598年發表：“至少他（因為他不會說）是貪小失大，至少我說他，收集灰燼，扔掉花”。）
